The Evolution of Volante: Augment V1.1

When we created the Augment V1 ten years ago, it was the first vest we’d ever launched and, at that point, it was the best thing we’d ever made. The wool had a buttery finish and luster that was so different from the cotton canvas that we’d been using exclusively back then. The angles were bold and dramatic, they accentuated and broadened the shoulders, flattering the figure in that quintessentially Volante way. Looking at those photos of the first launch, you just know David feels like a badass wearing it. It was the very first piece in what is now our iconic Augment collection, and in many ways, it was the piece that started it all. 

It's been quite some time since we last stocked this historic Volante vest on our shelves, but with our company's twelve-year anniversary on the horizon, it feels like the perfect time to bring it back. And now with ten years of experience since its inception, we've perfected our design with the AV1.1. At its core, the AV1.1 is still the same vest that inspired an entire line of clothing, but with brand new improvements: A sharper fit. Extra length in the torso. Improved breathability. And sleeker, cleaner, and more slimming design.

Just like Volante Design itself, the AV1.1 is a bit more refined than it was ten years ago, but just as badass as ever. Because, as it turns out, if you always strive for the highest quality, you'll find new ways to improve. Even on your best work.
